RAD Roller SoftThe RAD Roller Soft was designed to be versatile in function and appeal.

When it comes to self massage, oftentimes we work on the extremes. Some people seek a superficial touch while others desire only deep tissue work. Both sides can claim benefit but the different approaches shouldn't be regarded as mutually exclusive.
Choosing a method will depend on the person and  the outcome each person is seeking. Going through a check list like the one below can help you determine which method is right for you.

  1. Have you received a deep tissue massage in the past 3 months?
  2. Are your trouble areas located behind layers of tissue(fat and muscle)?
  3. Will you use self massage daily as part of a overall corrective exercise plan?

If you answered "no" to all 3 questions you will benefit from a more superficial approach, at least initially. If you're not accustomed to deep tissue work, going too hard too soon will trigger your body to resist and you'll experience unnecessary discomfort. Choosing a softer approach will allow you to work areas while still being relaxed. If you experience tension along the spine, arms or feet you do not need to work past layers of fat and muscle to apply pressure and release tension.

The RAD Roller Soft can meet a variety of needs. It's soft enough to relax and flush yet still solid at the core to provide trigger point release on certain areas of the body. In addition to offering a softer initial feel, the silicon can be warmed and retain warmth for a several minutes to provide a more comfortable experience. If you're only going to address symptoms when they arise and don't plan on making lifestyle changes to correct problems we understand.  Sometimes our lifestyles are simply not conducive to eliminate patterns that cause our tension. Elite athletes, truck drivers, office workers and all other people in occupations that require a repetitive movement or position can benefit the most from self massage but will likely continue treating the same areas.

If you answered "yes" to the questions we recommend checking out the RAD Roller Original or Stiff.
